Mary L. Peterson, affectionately known to many as Honey, was born on May 23, 1934 in San Angelo, Texas, and passed away on March 23, 2024.
Mary's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in God and commitment to her family. She was a devout Catholic who found strength and solace in her relationship with the Lord. As a mother, Mary was the cornerstone of her family. She provided love, support, and guidance to her children and grandchildren, instilling in them the values of kindness, compassion, and integrity. Her home was always a sanctuary of warmth and love. Mary had a gentle and nurturing spirit and had a way of making everyone around her feel valued and loved. Whether it was a listening ear, a comforting hug, or a word of encouragement, Mary always knew just what to say or do to make someone's day a little brighter. As we mourn the loss of Mary, let us take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her Heavenly Father, where there is no more pain or suffering. Let us also remember the love and legacy she leaves behind and strive to honor her memory by living our lives with the same grace, compassion, and faith that she embodied.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother Herminia Padilla and daughter Nora Nichols.
Those left to cherish her memory are children Jack M. Peterson Jr. and wife Trisha; Stacey A. Peterson and husband Marcos P. Cisneros III; Angela G. Peterson. Grandchildren Makayla Guevara and husband Luke; Zachary Peterson and wife Courtnee; Madison Fritsche and husband Chad; Lauren Payne and husband Chandler; and Jake Cisneros. And great grandchildren Kinley Peterson, Emersyn and Hayes Guevara; and Finn Fritsche.
The family would like to extend loving gratitude to her nieces, cousins and her beloved Aunt Julia.
May perpetual light shine upon her, and may her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
