Welton Workman Obituary

Welton Worker, 71, of San Angelo, passed away on March 29, 2024.

Mr. Workman was born on January 24, 1953.  Before moving to Daybreak, Thomas lived at San Angelo Supported Living Center.  Thomas loved to stay busy picking up sticks and keeping the SSLC grounds clean.  When Thomas left San Angelo Supported Living Center, he moved to Daybreak.  While at Daybreak, Thomas made many friends. Thomas was always on the move, collecting boxes and clothes. Thomas loved watching sports; you could always find him watching the Cowboys, Astros or Spurs anytime he could. Thomas loved "going to work" at the Dayhab; where he was "THE BOSS".  Anytime that you visited the Dayhab, you could always hear Thomas raising a ruckus. Thomas loved music and playing his piano. He loved to talk and tell stories. Thomas loved being in "his office" keeping everyone in line at Dayhab. Thank you to all of his Caregivers from past and present, for loving him on both his good and his bad days. To know Thomas was a blessing -to care for him was an honor.  Thomas- Dayhab has been really quiet but your friends and Daybreak Family, find comfort in knowing that you are no longer in pain. We will miss you! Chicken!

Welton was born to Sally Allgire Workman and Welton Flowers. His stepfather was Walter Workman. Welton was pre-deceased by his brothers, Terry Flowers, Jerry D.                              Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
