He enjoyed following the Dallas Cowboys and playing video games and was fondly remembered by family and friends for his sense of humor, a quality that will be missed. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply.

Abel was born in San Angelo, Texas to Abel Alba and Anita A. Rios.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ma-Del-Rosario Esquivel Luna; his six children: Aelene Rios, Aslynn Rios, Kara Rios, Ariah Rios, Aiden Rios, and Abel Rios; his mother, Anita A. Rios, and his father, Abel Alba.

Also surviving are his sisters, Joanna M. Hogeda, Krystal Alvarado, Rachel Uvalle, Samara Lujan, and Analisa Garcia; his brothers, Nick Alba, Abran Lujan, Kris Silva, and Alfonso Silva; and his grandparents, Noe Flores and Odelia Flores; and his granddaughters, Maricela Rodriguez, Ariella Rodriguez and Ila Rios.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 05, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The House of Jireh, 1414 North Chadbourne St., San Angelo, Texas, 76903.
